Adding new challenges

First, I want to thank all of our Feline Followers for your continued support of Feline Playful. It is so great reading your positive comments about the blog and we're just thrilled to see the number of followers continue to rise. Hearing that you found a great new challenge or that you found out you were a winner because of our lists can be so motivating to the team!

Did you know that we are currently tracking over 360 challenge blogs? And that number is increasing weekly as we hear about other challenges. If you own a challenge blog or are part of a design team and want your challenge added, all we ask is that you answer the following questions so that we have all the necessary details for the listing:

1. What is the name of your challenge?
2. What is your website address?
3. Is your challenge weekly, bi-weekly or monthly?
4. What is the posting day of your challenge?
5. What kind of projects (cards, scrapbook layouts, altered items, ATC, etc) does your challenge allow?
6. Does your challenge select winners? If so, how many and what is the reward (blog badge, prize, etc).
7. How do you choose the winner?
8. What is the maximum number of entries per challenge?
9. Can the players combine their entry with other challenges? If so do you have a maximum number?
10. Does your challenge have any special conditions or restrictions (such as using a product/image from a specific company)?
11. If you set your challenge schedule in advance, would you care to provide us with the schedule? We promise that no challenges will be posted in advance of their regular posting date.

You can email the info to shelleyr@telus.net and we'll get your challenge onto our lists as soon as we can.

Announcement... Karen is retiring!

Hi everyone!  As some of you may already know, my true passion is making cards for Operation Write Home and so I’ve decided to retire from Feline Playful and follow my true calling.  I’m very happy and excited to share with you that Feline Playful's Lead Challenge Coordinator, Shelley Dureau, has graciously agreed to take over Feline Playful and is the new owner. Shelley has been the motivation behind Feline Playful for some time now and has many amazing things planned that I’m sure you will love.

I sincerely hope that you will continue to help out and will wholehearted give Shelley your full support. Although I will no longer be involved with the blog I will be working behind the scenes with Shelley to transition the blog and ask that going forward you kindly direct all questions and concerns to Shelley.  I’ve already updated the email address on the blog so that future emails go to Shelley but will continue to forward to her any emails that may come my way.

Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me and Feline Playful, I truly appreciate it!

Looking for a WINNERS team...

Hi everyone!  We are seeing lots of signs that Feline Playful is growing by leaps and bounds and have tried streamlining some of our processes but still need more help.  We've recently added the WINNERS posts and this has doubled the amount of time the coordinatators spend researching and updating the blog.  On average it takes about an hour to update each post.

We are looking for 3 volunteers who are each able to commit to 2 or 3 days a week to be part of our WINNERS team.  The winners team will be responsible for the daily winners posts.  Each volunteer will be assigned specific days and on those days will visit the challenge blogs to note who the recent winners are then will post them here on Feline Playful.  We also know that life happens and ask the team to be open to backing each other up occasionally.  Please know that you won't have to add links for all the challenge blogs each day, we have a really easy way of doing so that we'll share with you! 

If you are interested in joining the WINNERS team please email us at howardkm@charter.net and note for us if there are certain days of the week that work best for you or days that you are not available.  This will help us select a team that will be able to cover the entire week!  We would like to get the WINNERS team going as soon as possible and may send invites to those who make the team as early as this weekend!  We'd love to have you join the team and hope you will consider it!
