We have openings for two or three new coordinators,  to take over regular weekly posts. We'd also like to have some more team members to take on Cover during times of illness or vacations. 

Each post can take between 1 and 3 hrs depending on how fast your computer is...and to be honest, how long the list is, as they vary. Experience with Blogger is helpful, but not essential. If you don't feel you could commit to a week in, week out post, but would like to help, you'd be perfect on our team as cover. 

In return for your hard work you will have the endless thanks of our Feline Followers, a friendly supportive team to play with, and a link to your blog posted on our pages.

Sadly we are to lose a much valued member of our team, life keeps getting in the way doesn't it, and of course has to take priority.

For you lovely people though it gives you the opportunity to join our wonderful, supportive group of travelers in blogland - and boy do we travel to get these posts done. As usual I can't offer you such incentives as you'd get from being part of a challenge blog DT, but there is satisfaction in being part of something so big, and the knowledge you are serving a grateful crafting community.....and of course you have a link to your personal blog on the Feline Team Page.

FAO Challenge Blogs - New Policy & A Request

Due to the exploding number of fabulous on-line Challenge Blogs in 2012, we have decided to implement a NEW POLICY here at Feline Playful. Any Challenge Blog which has shown no activity for 6 weeks will be deleted from the Feline Playful listings. In view of this we ask that you please notify us if your Blog plans on taking a break from Challenges and provide us with a re-start date; and of course let us know if you decide to discontinue your Challenge Blog.

You can contact us by leaving a comment on any blog post, or by email on felineplayful at gmail dot com.

We also have a REQUEST to make of Challenge Blogs that announce Winners. Each Challenge Blog is unique in where they place their Winners Announcement, which means our Winners Coordinators often have difficulty in locating them. As it can be time-consuming to read through lengthy posts trying to determine if any winners have been announced, could you please consider making it easier for them to find your Winners, Top 3's etc.

Here are a few ideas:

• Change the size or color of the font for the winners. 
• Try listing them in your sidebar and elsewhere prominently.
• Create a link when they appear in a different location or in a post falling under the current blog post.
• Label them so they may be found through the search box.

We are a happy team of volunteers who take great pleasure in helping our fellow crafters enjoy YOUR Challenge Blogs, please help us to do an awesome job in 2013.

A sorrowful good-bye

Hi, it's Shelley here with a difficult announcement After more than 2 years with Feline Playful (first as a poster and then as the blog owner) I have come to the decision that I must step down. As much as I love Feline Playful, life and its many challenges are making it more & more difficult to give the site the attention it deserves.

Good news, though, as Lin has very graciously agreed to take over as owner of the site. Lin is a long-term member of the Feline Playful team and has been pretty much running things for a while now so I'm confident that she is the right person to keep the blog going.

Although I will no longer be involved with the blog I will be working behind the scenes with Lin to transition the blog. You can continue to contact the team at our existing email address felineplayful at gmail dot com or by leaving comments on the blog posts.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my years with Feline Playful and am so grateful to have been a part of this tremendous team! Thank you so much for all the support and I wish Lin and the team all the best. I'm not planning on giving up my personal crafting so I'll be dropping in to Feline Playful all the time - I look forward to seeing what Lin and the team do with the site!

Sadly we are losing a much valued team member....more on that in another post... other team members wish to adjust their schedules due to other commitments. Real life has to take a priority of course.

Our policy on listing challenge sites

Periodically, Feline Playful receives an email or comment alerting us that there are accusations placed against a digital stamp company/challenge that we list claiming that they are selling images that they don't have rights to. Feline Playful absolutely condemns the theft of artist images and does not condone this practice in any way. Every time these accusations prove true, it casts a shadow on the digital stamp industry and everyone who is part of it.

Having said this, we do not vette challenge sites that we include on our lists. It has long been our practice to list any challenge blog that asks. Feline Playful is non-partisan and the only requirement to be included on our lists is to have an active paper crafting challenge blog.

If accusations are brought against a challenge site or its sponsor company we can not put ourselves into the role of judge. As long as the challenge operates, it will be listed on our site. Remember, being on the Feline Playful lists is not a recommendation from our team to participate. It is up to each of you, our followers, to decide whether a challenge is worthy of your time, energy and creativity to enter.

Blogger problems

You may have noticed that some of our posts are lagging way behind schedule.  There is a reason for this - many of our staff are outside of the US; changes in Blogger have created a variety of posting problems for these usually prompt individuals, not only with this blog but their personal ones as well.  We are trying to figure out what Blogger is doing and develop some workarounds, but in the meantime, please be patient!  We are trying our best to serve you.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas

A quick message to wish each of our Feline Friends a very Merry Christmas. I expect to be woken at the crack of dawn tomorrow by my boys rummaging through their stockings. Everyone will have stomach-aches from too much chocolate by mid-morning and the rest of the day will be spent playing games, arguing over whose turn it is, and smelling the wonderful aroma of roasting turkey. I can't think of a better way to spend a day!

For those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, then please know that I don't mean to exclude you. Whatever your reason for celebration (the arrival of a weekend is plenty cause for celebration in my household!), I wish you the very best.

Blog appearance

Blogger decided to play some games with us last night and substituted a template design of its own choice. We got lots of positive comments on the new "clean & simple" look so even though the change was unintended we've decided to move forward and try redesigning Feline Playful with a cleaner, simpler, more streamlined (and easier on the eyes) design. While we work on the "new & improved" look we've done our best to get the old template back (and boy has that been a struggle so please forgive all the minor and not-so minor changes). So keep an eye out for Feline Playful and its new look!

Are you having a good time? I know that I'm thoroughly enjoying the party! It's been wonderful reading all the comments that are being left at the team blogs and I was blown away by the amazing projects that the team posted. Can you believe the talent of these ladies?
